The Bucks County Poet Laureate Program is pleased to announce our 2024 laureate: Lake Angela!

Lake Angela is a poet, translator, and dancer-choreographer who creates at the confluence of verbal language and movement. She holds a PhD in the intersemiotic translation of Austrian Expressionist poetry into dance and has her MFA in poetry. Her books, Organblooms (2020) and Words for the Dead (2021), are available from FutureCycle Press. Lake is poetry editor for the international journal Punt Volat.

Lake will be reading her poetry on Saturday, November 16 at 1:00 pm in Tyler 142 on the Newtown Campus. She will be reading with 2024 Laureate Tara Tamburello, and they will be joined by our three runners-up, Robbin Farr, Madeline Marriott, and Judith Adams Lagana. Thomas Devaney, one of the judges, will also be reading. We hope that you can join us!

The reading will be followed by a dessert reception.
